iRiver P35 GUI video demo

iRiver's P35 PMP could possibly be the company's most MID-like device to date, with a 4.3-inch WQVGA touchscreen good not only for audio and video playback but, in the model with WiFi b/g, a full internet browser.  We're still waiting to hear the final judgment on the P35 from a full review, but until then this video demo of the PMP's GUI and functionality will tide us over.

iRiver P35 and P7 touchscreen PMPs released

iRiver have officially released the P35 PMP, complete with a 4.3-inch WQVGA display, optional integrated WiFi b/g, 16hrs audio playback and 8hrs video playback.  Three versions will be on offer, ranging from the Basic (with no DMB or WiFi, and 8GB of storage) through the DMB (which lacks WiFi but has DMB and 16GB) and finally the WiFi (which has wireless and DMB together with 16GB).  iRiver have also also officially released the P7 PMP, which we caught up with at CES 2009.

iRiver P7 PMP gets unboxed

iRiver's P7 PMP has been spotted in the wild, complete with retail packaging.  The 4.3-inch touchscreen P7 comes with either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage (plus a microSD card slot to add to that), and according to iRiver has a "magazine style" GUI with various panes of image, audio, video and radio information.

iRiver P20 AMOLED PMP gets price and release date in Japan

iRiver Japan has today let loose of its P20 Portable Multimedia Player that was first introduced back in IFA 2008. The Japanese release will see to a 80GB storage version with the features that were previously covered : 4.1-inch AMOLED screen with 480x272 pixel display with ability to provide 12-hours of audio, 9-hours of video, or 8-hours of DMB contents from a host of multimedia formats to FM radio, voice recording, gaming and viewing office documents.

iRiver's Mickey PMP is something of a novelty compared to other mediaplayers from the company, but the iPod shuffle rival does manage to endear itself in-person.  Available in pink or sky-blue with 2GB of storage for your audio files, the Disney-branded MP3 player has LED eyes that indicate volume, playback and other status details, together with expressions.

iRiver can always be relied on to bring something interesting to CES, and this year is no exception.  The WAVE HOME is this year's multimedia maven, combining local video and music playback, internet access and VoIP voice and messaging into a compact, minimalist desktop unit.  SlashGear stopped by the iRiver booth to spend some hands-on time with the WAVE, and while it might do its darnedest to defy categorisation, that didn't stop us wanting to bring it home.
