iPhone 4S appears in iTunes beta [Update: Pulled]

iPhone 4S appears in iTunes beta [Update: Pulled]

This weekend the iPhone rumors and leaks are just flowing in, this next one showing some evidence that the iPhone 4S will indeed be popping up next week, this information thanks to Apple itself. In the latest version if iTunes (a beta, at that), references to the iPhone 4S have been found, but were quickly pulled from its developer site after the discovery was made. You'll see a couple of shots taken from this leak and sent to AppleInsider it appears by the same insider, Ming-Chi Kuo, who tells of a complete lack of iPhone 5 instances in the same line. This leak was inside the ninth build of iTunes 10.5 released Friday and is now squashed, but not before letting us know that this device will be at least CDMA where we expect a GSM mode version (or one dual-mode device) to be released on Tuesday.

When it comes to the next iPhone, whatever that may be at the time, it's generally just news tips that we get, whispers and the occasional blurting out of details by those who are trusted to keep them. Both of these cases have arrived in stores and/or people's deviously swiping hands today, both of them appearing very much to be THIS CLOSE to being ready for release.

iPhone 5 production delay could see cheap 4S launch alone

iPhone 5 production delay could see cheap 4S launch alone

Apple may have been over-ambitious with its iPhone 5 plans, it's suggested, with reports that the more impressive of a two device line-up originally intended for a simultaneous launch will in fact be delayed. Although Apple is on track with a low-end iPhone, based on the current iPhone 4, for an aggressively priced holiday push, 9 to 5 Mac's sources say, the true fifth-gen iPhone is experiencing significant production issues and may well be delayed and/or initially in short supply.

Why the iPhone 4S will be Free

Why the iPhone 4S will be Free

Here's the skinny: the following information is a set of educated guesses, analyzed facts turned into what I feel will be exactly what Apple will release at their next major keynote event as far as mobile devices go. First, I do not think that the device will have a "5" in the title. Although it's been an eternity in human time since the last iPhone release, that being the iPhone 4 for Verizon, in Apple time it's only been nearly enough time before the next massively successful release. What I believe here instead is that all four of the biggest carriers in the USA will get the newest version of the iPhone inside October of 2011 and that this device will hold more water than just hardware improvements.
