Indiegogo tests crowdfunding campaigns with no time limit

Indiegogo tests crowdfunding campaigns with no time limit

When the crowdfunding era began online, there was an implicit understanding that each campaign would have a limited time to raise money, at which point they’d have to turn around and deliver a product or a service. Now, dismissing said understanding, Indiegogo will be introducing a pilot program in which campaigners can extend their campaign well past their campaign deadline.

Ubuntu Edge gets price hack to boost Indiegogo pledges

You might remember that dual-booting Linux and Android-powered phone that we discussed last month. It's called the Ubuntu Edge and it's hoping to change the mobile landscape in a big way. However, before it can do that, Canonical needs some funding help in order to produce the phone for the masses, and it seems like pledges are slowing down, for which Canonical is bumping the price down in order to get more people interested.

Kuna connected home security system is hidden in a porch light

Keeping one's home safe has largely transitioned away from reliance on traditional home security companies and towards utilizing the devices and services we already have, namely smartphones and a home WiFi network. Numerous connected devices designed for home security are available, most of them revolving around either motion sensors or cameras that shuttle information to one's mobile device. Equil Smartpen 2 still available, ships this month

Earlier this year at CES, we got our hands on the Equil Smartpen. The physical-to-digital writing instrument was pretty impressive, but like any good product, the Smartpen can improve. Equil’s Smartpen 2 looks to make some necessary adjustments, and even breaks free of the pen-and-paper world as a stylus. Currently enjoying a funding run on Indiegogo that has seen Smartpen 2 lap it’’s goal several times over, the Smartpen 2 is coming soon — but you still have time to snap one up via crowdfunding!
