HTC Touch HD2 full spec list revealed

HTC Touch HD2 full spec list revealed

HTC's HD2 (aka the HTC Leo) keeps showing up in various carriers' promo material, though since they only ever say "biggest WinMo phone yet!" it's been hard to pin down exact specifications.  Happily, that's all changed thanks to one talkative xda-developers board member; he's managed to sneak out the full spec sheet - which you can read after the cut - together with a few new live photos of the smartphone itself.

T-Mobile HTC Touch HD2 “coming soon” catalog leaks

Having heard talk yesterday of the HTC HD2 getting a release on UK carrier T-Mobile (as well as earlier mutterings regarding an O2 launch as well), now an anonymous tipster has delivered what looks to be a screenshot confirming it.  Dropped into CoolSmartPhone's inbox, the image (which, we have to say, would be pretty straightforward to mock-up if you were so inclined) names the Windows Phone as the HTC Touch HD2.

HTC Touch HD 2 Shuns Windows Mobile and Embraces Android

The Touch HD released last year, and while it held its own within its fifteen minutes of fame, like many other HTC/Windows Mobile devices out there, it quickly faded into the throes of the past. Well, it's time for HTC to release a sequel, and yes, you can guess what it's called: the Touch HD 2. But we're not getting a simple rehash this time around, or even an upgraded Windows Mobile 6.5. HTC Touch HD: Video Demo and Q&A

We're still getting to grips with the HTC Touch HD smartphone, putting it through its paces before the definitive SlashGear review, but we thought we'd share some demo video and answer a few of the questions you've been putting to us.  This is obviously a highly-anticipated device, and we can tell you now that, while in some areas it excels, there are still some frustrating omissions.  Check out the full demo video after the cut, together with the Q&A.

HTC Touch HD: SlashGear First Impressions & Gallery

Good things, they say, come to those who wait, and it certainly feels like we've been waiting long enough for the HTC Touch HD.  From the first early leaks, official reveal and through to the disappointment that HTC wouldn't be releasing the smartphone in the US, this 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen has managed to grab attention away from the best Apple, Sony Ericsson and the rest have to offer.  Now, finally, the HTC Touch HD has landed in the UK, and SlashGear have one of the first.
