HTC teases first Beats-enabled USA device with event invite

HTC teases first Beats-enabled USA device with event invite

In what very well may be an invitation to be the first to see the HTC Rezound, (aka the HTC Vigor,) HTC tells of their "latest innovation." What we've got here is an invite as sent out to press which has the reverberations of sound emanating from the "HTC INVITES YOU" text in green down to two logos, one for HTC, the other for Dr Dre's Beats. Beats and HTC joined forces several weeks ago in an effort to bring greater sound quality to HTC smartphones everywhere and we've already seen Beats on HTC in Europe - could this be the ushering in of fine quality music on smartphones right here in the states? Yes, I think so.

Galaxy Nexus found on Verizon MAP for November 10 at $299

Galaxy Nexus found on Verizon MAP for November 10 at $299

It appears that there's a rat in the house at Verizon, vermin just loving the idea of letting loose some key information on future products via a MAP which includes not only the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but a device by the name of HTC Rezound as well. These two devices will be released on the 10th of November if this little chart is to be believed, and both of them will be priced at $299.99 right out of the gate. Judging by the rest of the items on the chart, it appears that this price may well be the price ON a 2-year contract - but of course it's the name that counts the most, isn't it - Galaxy Nexus. Sounds kinda tasty, doesn't it?

Google’s Next Nexus Phone Details Roundup [Mid-Sept 2011, pre-release]

Google’s Next Nexus Phone Details Roundup [Mid-Sept 2011, pre-release]

Each time Google creates a new version of Android, they work with a manufacturer of smartphones or tablets as well as a processor manufacturer to create a hero device to host a completely vanilla (otherwise known as totally nude, clean) version of their software. The most recent examples of this come in the Nexus S, out for sale now on three carriers across the USA working with Google's latest smartphone OS, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. For tablets, there's the Motorola XOOM, available as both a Wi-fi only device and a Verizon-carried device featuring Google's latest tablet-based mobile OS, Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Though the XOOM isn't technically following the naming scheme, each Google Android hero phone is part of the "Nexus" line, the next of these set to feature the Android system to tie handsets and tablets together in one: Ice Cream Sandwich. While we still do not know the Android number (2.4 or 4.0), we have a collection of details on this device that's sure to get you salivating.
