It’s almost Mother’s Day, and so we’ve taken a look through the products we’ve most loved over the past few months and have put together a guide for what’ll work best for you to give your mom this weekend! It’s just that simple, folks, and it’s time to get on board with electronics for moms. Over at AT&T you’ve got two giant choices for hero phones if you want to run with Windows Phone Mango – the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II. Your choices will be based on what you like the phone’s hardware to look like, how nice the camera is, and how fabulous the software runs on either device. As it turns out, HTC may have created a silent hit here in the face of the massively promoted Nokia device – will it survive a secondhand mention?
We’re getting our first final-product hands-on experience with the HTC Titan II here at the end of the week, and with its seemingly large 16 megapixel camera, Windows 7.5 Mango, and 4.7-inch display, it appears we’ve got a beast in our fingers. To be sure, we’ve also got the iPhone 4S and the HTC One S here to compare to in brief – for their cameras, mostly. What you’ll find here in this first hands-on post is that this device is more than up to the task of being a fabulous Windows Phone – but is the smartphone you’re looking for?
Microsoft and Nokia are both hoping that the Lumia 900 will pay off in the United States. The phone has managed to achieve an attractive price point for the features on offer, not to mention LTE connectivity. While the HTC Titan II also includes LTE connectivity, it seems to have been overshadowed by the Lumia 900 launch. What about Samsung? According to a new report, the company is due to ship three new Windows Phone this year.

Gadget bloggers tend to share a few key traits, and one of those is an inability to resist high-end hardware. Super-fast processors, hi-res screens and next generation features get our blood rising. But we sometimes get blinded by our desire for specs, and all too often we ignore the high price that these features come with. Let’s take a step back and examine the need, or lack thereof, for some of the capabilities of the latest round of smartphones.
Windows Phone users working with AT&T-connected devices for the past few weeks and months have been in a bit of a pickle as the carrier has not sent out a Microsoft-made software update made available this January. This update fixed several bugs in Windows Phone 7.5 Mango including a "disappearing keyboard" issue - all of this will now instead be fixed by a slightly more grand update instead. AT&T representative Anne Marshall spoke up this week about how AT&T has decided to skip smaller, incremental updates to Windows Phone in the short run and stick with larger updates like Windows Phone Tango, which is up for release next.

AT&T recently announced several new devices at CES 2012, and now more details have emerged on pricing and launch dates. According to BGR, the carrier will be releasing two Windows Phone handsets with the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II, which we've spent some hands-on time with before. The company will also be releasing several Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD, Samsung Exhilirate, Sony Xperia Ion, and a yet to be announced Sony Crystal tablet.

Welcome to our massive “best-of” wrap-up for CES 2012, complete with everything from smartphones to PCs and headphones and back, topped off with our own “most used gear” section for the curious. What you’ll find is that though there were more exhibitors, attendees, and media attention payed to the show than ever before, the overall result was a lot of the same gear re-hashed with a few new specifications. The rumored HTC Ville Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset will be heading to T-Mobile, according to PocketNow sources. HTC had just unveiled the Titan II for AT&T, but was otherwise quiet at CES suggesting it may have major news saved up for Mobile World Congress. Upcoming announcements are expected for the HTC Ville, HTC Edge, and a new feature called HTC Family.

Verizon has confirmed to CNET that it will be requiring all future smartphones to support 4G LTE. The carrier revealed that it would be an unyielding requirement for all upcoming 2012 mobile devices if they wish to run on Verizon's network. This includes smartphones, tablets, and even mobile hotspots and netbooks.
