T-Mobile Sensation 4G Android 4.0 update ends free tethering

T-Mobile USA subscribers using the HTC Sensation will have to choose between free tethering and an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, with the carrier's fine-print revealing mobile hotspot use will no longer be overlooked. "HTC Sensation 4G [users] will be required to add Wi-Fi Mobile Hotspot feature in order to use the service after completing this update"the Android 4.0 software update support document confirms, ahead of the new firmware's release on Wednesday this week.

February's HTC One Series faced a formidable challenge: a reasonably strong start to 2011 had dwindled until, by Q4, the company was a shadow of its former, innovative self. The folks at HTC have just updated their schedule for updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a handful of their devices, and it's no small batch, I can tell you that! For the end of March HTC has the Sensation, Sensation 4G, and Sensation XE getting updated with the Sensation XL ready to go soon afterward. After that there's so many HTC devices getting set up with Ice Cream Sandwich that you're going to get a sugar high!

HTC Ville caught on video with Sense 4.0

The HTC Ville has been caught on video ahead of its expected MWC 2012 debut, showing off both its slimline form-factor as well as a glimpse of HTC Sense 4.0. According to the Android 4.0 smartphone's hardware info page, it runs a 1.5GHz dualcore processor with 1GB of RAM and a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen. There's also WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and an 8-megapixel main camera.
