HTC released its unaudited Q3 earnings results today, revealing that the company's net profit had risen 68 percent from last year, reaching NT$18.64 billion or about US$615.3 milion. Despite a 34 percent drop in stock value since July 1, the company's total revenue has grown by 79 percent to NT$135.8 billion or about US$4.4 billion.
HTC's October 6 press event will indeed feature a new Beats Audio equipped handset, with the company confirming that the London debut will include a party open to the public. No indication of which specific device is given on the invite HTC has just sent us, though a set of Beats-branded headphones - as included with the HTC Sensation XE - leaves little doubt as to its musical credentials.
What you're about to see is a video showing off the HTC Runnymede, a device which will be released in the near future complimented by HTC's newest business partner in Dr. Dre's Beats audio integration. This is a smartphone with a massive 4.7-inch display, a white front and back, and Android 2.3.x Gingerbread. We saw it first back on September 12th, saw a whole stack of specs the very next day, and a whisper somewhere between there and here noting that this device would be called "HTC Bass" when released to the public. Today there's a video of someone who happens to have gotten their hands on one, flipping it about and taking us on a tour of it's version of HTC Sense 3.5 for the camera.
HTC has invited SlashGear to a UK press event on October 6, and while details from the company on what the session - described as a "press conference and party" - will cover, we're guessing it's another high-profile Android device launch. Most likely candidate is the HTC Vigor, in fact, which is tipped to have a 4.3-inch 720p HD display running at 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, along with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
The first press shot of the much anticipated HTC Vigor has leaked. The handset has been rumored as HTC's next flagship phone and could be one of the first to offer Beats Audio technology. This leak follows several others, including the press shot for the HTC Bliss as well as some spec sheets on the Bliss and the Runnymede. Perhaps more details will continue to surface as we get closer to HTC's press event on September 20, when the company is expected to unveil these devices.
The full specs for the European versions of the HTC Bliss and the HTC Runnymede have leaked, confirming much of the rumors surrounding the two Android handsets. The leak comes just a week ahead of HTC's major press event scheduled for September 20, where it's expected that the company will unveil the two devices.
The first press image of the HTC Runnymede has surfaced and it is one gigantic phone. It sports a massive 4.7-inch display similar to that of the HTC Titan, which has been revealed for the Windows Phone 7 platform. The Runnymede, however, will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is encased in an all-white chassis with the four standard Android touch buttons.
