We’ve got quite a nice little look at the HTC Sensation, (previously known as the HTC Pyramid) and what do you know? We even have some benchmarks! These are all courtesy of our good fellow Chris Davies who is, in fact, over in England where the bigtime HTC event has taken place. What we’ve got here is both Quadrant and SunSpider, giving us a generally decent look at both the CPU and the browsing capabilities of the unit.
The HTC Sensation has been officially launched – aka the HTC Pyramid – the company’s new Android flagship. Running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread on a dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8260 1.2GHz processor, the Sensation has a Desire HD-matching 4.3-inch S-LCD touchscreen running at qHD 540 x 960 resolution, HSPA/WCDMA connectivity, and an 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p Full HD video recording with stereo sound.
HTC is expected to unveil the HTC Sensation later on today, the handset previously known as the Pyramid, but Vodafone UK has pipped them to the post with a premature product page. The Sensation has a 4.3-inch qHD 540 x 960 S-LCD touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal storage and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

HTC's mysterious press event next Tuesday, April 12, will indeed see the launch of the HTC Pyramid along with its new street-name, according to the latest leaks. HTC had no shortage of new devices at CTIA 2011 last week – the HTC EVO 3D being perhaps the highlight – but there’s still more to come. The company’s UK arm has just sent out invites to a press event on April 12 to “see what’s next” in the HTC pipeline.
It appears that the folks at XDA, that vast community of developers and hackers, have gotten their hands on some super secret photos of the HTC Pyramid, a fashionable phone coming down the pipeline toward the public in a 4.3-inch display fashion. According to these most recent photos, this phone will be coming out with a 1.2Ghz processor with no name, 768MB or RAM, and a QHD resolution display. The more we see the more we like!

Having been caught flaunting its electronic rump at us yesterday, the HTC Pyramid has turned up again with a face-on shot so we can marvel at its qHD display and front-facing camera.
