HTC Flyer tablet $299 at Best Buy starting in October

HTC Flyer tablet $299 at Best Buy starting in October

Best Buy and HTC must have had a sit-down recently regarding the Flyer tablet that's been out for some months, because come October 1st, the price of this tablet will be reduced by $200 from its original price of $499.99 to its lowest price ever, $299.99. It's time to drop those tablet prices, ladies and gentlemen, and it's not just because the Amazon Kindle Fire is scaring the cheese out of the competition (not verified, but quite possible). Low sales and the ever-deepening pool of tablets out there certainly has had an impact on the price of tablets across the board, as evidenced here in the Flyer and the now sold-out TouchPad from HP.

Congratulations AT&T, you killed HTC’s tablet

Congratulations AT&T, you killed HTC’s tablet

HTC just can't catch a break with its US tablet plans. The HTC Flyer, when it launched as the EVO View 4G in the US, came with its most obvious component - the digital stylus that differentiated it from all the other Android tablets on the market - as an optional accessory. Now, AT&T has released the HTC Jetstream, a 10-inch Honeycomb model, and it's time for another face-smack moment. The carrier is asking $699.99, and that's with a two-year data agreement. It's almost like AT&T doesn't want the Jetstream to succeed.

HTC Puccini tablet leaks again

A few days back we saw some leaked screen shots of the HTC Puccini tablet that surfaced and the hint that the tablet would be called the Jetstream on AT&T. Today another leak has surfaced with some blurry cam shots of the Puccini tablet and a tip that the tablet is currently in testing and will land in the "not too distant future." This should be a nice 10.1-inch tablet for those wanting fast mobile broadband.

As for its money-making performance, HTC announced "record-breaking" results and the fifth consecutive quarter of growth, with NT$17.52bn ($607m) after-tax profits, more than doubling the performance in Q2 last year.

HTC Puccini Tablet Press Images Leaked

HTC Puccini Tablet Press Images Leaked

It appears that HTC's newest effort in the Android business has been revealed in real live photo form. That or there's a rather talented mock-up artist amongst us creating a masterpiece when they should be working for HTC. This tablet takes a step away from their previous tablet, the HTC Flyer, in that it's not White (though it's HTC EVO View brother certainly isn't either), and that it's got one solid piece covering the entirety of its back instead of the EVO-ish three piece situation. This tablet will almost certainly be released before the dropping of Androids 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich this fall, and will therefor be running something along the lines of Android 3.1 or 3.2 Honeycomb upon release.

HTC Ruby spotted in reflection on a tablet screen?

HTC Ruby spotted in reflection on a tablet screen?

This may be the strangest leaked photo of a supposed new smartphone I have ever seen. Looking at the pics below they are some of the darkest spy shots I have seen for sure. Do you know why they are so dark? They are reflections from the screen of a HTC Flyer tablet apparently. Weird huh? I don’t know if the spy shooter had to get all James Bond and take spy shots using reflections and stuff or what.
