HTC EVO Shift 4G leaks ahead of 2011 Sprint launch

HTC EVO Shift 4G leaks ahead of 2011 Sprint launch

From one HTC "leak" to another; this time it's a mercifully full-fascia shot of the HTC EVO 4G Shift expected to frolic on Sprint's WiMAX network sometime in the near future. As we can see from PhoneArena's photo smaller-screen version of the original HTC EVO 4G, making up for that with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, it's also the first time we've seen the phone without its protective cover .

Sprint 4G tablet plans confirmed: PlayBook, HTC EVO Shift 4G or something else?

Sprint has confirmed that a 4G tablet is incoming, with Paget Alves, Sprint's President of Business Markets, telling Forbes that the WiMAX slate is expected to arrive sometime in 2011. Alves declined to confirm the manufacturer responsible for the device, nor indeed the OS that it might run; the carrier currently offers a single (non-4G) model, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but the exec said there are plans to sell slates based on other platforms than Android.

HTC Athena gets older brother: Shift is company’s first UMPC

Bless HTC.  While everyone had their eye on the Advantage/Ameo/Athena and its ever-changing name, they were quietly beavering away correcting the biggest criticism of the device: the fact that it ran Windows Mobile rather than XP or Vista.  Enter the HTC Shift, a sliding-screen device which runs - you guessed it - Vista Business on its widescreen 7-inch touch display.

HTC One max Review

HTC One max Review

HTC should've had a best-seller with the HTC One. The metal-bodied phone was the go-to recommendation for Android fans in the know, and that it didn't get the attention of Samsung's Galaxy range is arguably more about marketing than anything else. HTC followed Samsung's example in distilling the brand for a smaller version, in the shape of the HTC One mini, and has now scaled things up with the HTC One max. A 5.9-inch display, metal body, and UltraPixel camera technology are arguably ingredients for the perfect phablet, but has HTC baked the One max badly? Read on for our full review.

HTC One Android 4.2.2 update fixing Zoe flood, Menu key, more

HTC has begun rolling out its Android 4.2.2 update for the HTC One, with owners in Europe, Taiwan, and other locations receiving the much-anticipated firmware upgrade. The software, which takes Android to 4.2.2 but also makes significant changes to HTC's own Sense interface, in particular addresses one of our lingering issues with the One: the ugly triple-dot "Menu" softkey which robs users of all-important screen real-estate.

NVIDIA SHIELD shipping shifts to July: it must be “perfect”

NVIDIA SHIELD shipping shifts to July: it must be “perfect”

This week NVIDIA has made a rather important decision regarding the launch of their first Android handheld device SHIELD. Instead of shipping at the original announcement date (that was today, mind you), SHIELD has gotten a bit of a push forward to July in favor of a solid launch. The reason for this change is said by the company to be relating to a mechanical issue relating to a 3rd party component.
