HTC’s new One Series got off to a good start, and now the company has to do the same in the US. This week at the HTC / Beats event in New York City which played host to the reveal of HTC next big device the HTC Rezound, Jimmy Iovine, CEO of Beats by Dre, was invited on stage to regale about the device and its history. In what very well may be an invitation to be the first to see the HTC Rezound, (aka the HTC Vigor,) HTC tells of their “latest innovation.” What we’ve got here is an invite as sent out to press which has the reverberations of sound emanating from the “HTC INVITES YOU” text in green down to two logos, one for HTC, the other for Dr Dre’s Beats. Beats and HTC joined forces several weeks ago in an effort to bring greater sound quality to HTC smartphones everywhere and we’ve already seen Beats on HTC in Europe – could this be the ushering in of fine quality music on smartphones right here in the states? Yes, I think so.
Nokia may soon be unveiling a new partnership with Monster Cable to introduce co-branded audio gear. According to leaked marketing graphics obtained by PocketNow, the duo appear to be readying at least one product called the Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster. This move could be similar to HTC's deal with Monster's Beats Audio line and may help boost appeal for Nokia's first Windows Phones.

HTC’s October 6 press event will indeed feature a new Beats Audio equipped handset, with the company confirming that the London debut will include a party open to the public. No indication of which specific device is given on the invite HTC has just sent us, though a set of Beats-branded headphones – as included with the HTC Sensation XE - leaves little doubt as to its musical credentials.
Some new revelations on the upcoming HTC Vigor surfaced today with a set of leaked media files that were mainly wallpapers and screenshots of boot animations for this next powerhouse Android smartphone. The images support speculation that the HTC Vigor will support Beats as well as 4G LTE. But one thing was oddly missing: the Droid boot animation found in Verizon's Droid-branded handsets.

HTC’s tagline these days may be “quietly brilliant”, but the company is actually quietly proud of the new HTC Sensation XE. Based on the same Sensation we described as a great everyman Android flagship just a few months back, with the addition of Beats Audio technology thanks to HTC’s investment in the pro-headphones company its become something of a niche powerhouse, at least if you talk to HTC’s team.
