Nokia's nHD 640 x 360 displays have been looking all the more outmoded compared to the WVGA and higher panels rivals offer, and so rumors that the upcoming Nokia E6-00 will up the pixels on offer is a good sign that the trend is changing. According to a Nokia user agent file, the E6-00 will have a 640 x 480 VGA display together with Symbian^3 OS, WCDMA/HSPA, WiFi and a QWERTY keyboard.

Bell DC HSPA+ network launches Nov 23: up to 42Mbps with Novatel Ovation MC547 modem

HSPA+ is all well and good, but Bell Mobility and Novatel Wireless are more interested in what speeds you can manage if you pair a couple of cells together. Together they've announced the Ovation MC547 USB modem for Bell Mobility's freshly unveiled Dual-Cell HSPA+ (DC HSPA+) network, which will be theoretically capable of up to 42 Mbps downloads and 11 Mbps uploads.

Huawei IDEOS X6 smartphone: 4.1″, HDMI and HSPA+

Who says Motorola and HTC should have all the big-screen Android fun?  Huawei aren't especially known for their alluring smartphones, but the new IDEOS X6 could change all that.  Packing a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and HDMI output, the IDEOS X6 runs Android 2.2 Froyo and, if they can manage to bring it over to Europe or North America, deserves some attention.

AT&T USBConnect modems refreshed: HSPA+ and pre-pay options

AT&T has outed its latest range of USB modems, and while the carrier doesn't actually have an active HSPA+ network at the moment, two out of the three new models will support the high-speed connectivity when service goes live in early 2011.  The AT&T USBConnect Shockwave and USBConnect Adrenaline each offer HSPA+, while the AT&T USBConnect 900 lacks the higher-speed support but will be sold contract-free.

T-Mobile myTouch HD boasts HSPA+ & video chat

Further details on the T-Mobile myTouch HD have leaked, with TmoNews being sent a flyer from the carrier suggesting the Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone will have a 3.8-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing VGA camera for video calls over 3G, HSPA+ and WiFi.  There's also a 1GHz dual-core processor and, of course, HSPA+ data for T-Mobile's 4G network.
