2016 Fiat 500X first-drive – America’s grown-up Italian

2016 Fiat 500X first-drive – America’s grown-up Italian

If the Fiat 500 is an icon reborn, then why wouldn’t people want even more of an icon on their driveway? That’s the question the 2016 Fiat 500X arrives to address, slotting with Italian panache into the fashionable urban crossover segment. As the little-loved 500L demonstrated, however, there’s more to taking a popular city car and breaking it free of its urban runabout roots than simply enlarging it, but Fiat believes it has some secret weapons there, too.

HP 10 Plus Android tablet arrives as rumored

This past summer rumbles surfaced stating HP had a trio of new tablets in the works, and among those three new tablets was one called the HP 10 Plus. That leak turned out to be true, and HP has introduced that Android tablet model with little (read: none) fanfare. The tablet has surfaced on Amazon, where it is still located -- whether it was supposed to launch and HP is just staying incredibly quiet about its arrival, or this was a premature launch, isn't known at this point.

HP Slate 7 Review

HP Slate 7 Review

HP’s first go-around with a tablet didn’t actually go so well. The webOS-based TouchPad didn’t last long and was quickly discontinued. However, the company is back with another slate, only this time it’s running the more widely-adopted Android operating system, and it seems as though HP wants to give tablets another whack with its first-ever Android tablet, the Slate 7. We took a peek at it during CES 2013 back in January, and it’s a metal-infested 7-incher that looks to take on Google’s Nexus 7 with a relatively stock user interface in a clean and simple package. Let’s see how it fares.

HP ENVY Rove 20 is maker’s first mobile all-in-one PC

HP Slate 7 overcomes delay rumors, is available now

HP Slate 7 overcomes delay rumors, is available now

We got a look at HP's then-unreleased Slate 7 tablet at Mobile World Congress earlier this year and liked what we saw. HP had said the device would be available for purchase in April, but then a bit of debacle started when its product page was updated to show a revised release date in June. That spurred rumors that the slate was delayed, but then the product page changed again, this time back to April, leaving many to wonder when we'd actually see the device on shelves.

Dell and HP tablets delayed: Intel chip test trouble blamed

Dell and other Windows 8 tablet manufacturers are apparently experiencing unexpected problems with drivers for their new touchscreen slates, insiders claim, forcing delays of certain models into early 2013. The Dell Latitude 10 and other Intel Atom Z2760 based tablets are now not expected until late January, with sources telling InformationWeek that the problem is in getting sufficiently stable drivers for the power-frugal Clover Trail processors to meet Microsoft's licensing standards.

Several companies are working on Windows 8 tablets behind the scenes, with HP among them. Did the company just leak its Windows 8 tablet via a YouTube commercial?
