Verizon gets Galaxy Nexus exclusive (at first)

Verizon gets Galaxy Nexus exclusive (at first)

Up until last night, the rumor mill for the new Samsung device Galaxy Nexus was equaled only by the recently squashed notion of the iPhone 5 - all that's changed, but one point remains up in the air: will Verizon get the exclusive here in the USA? The answer appears to have come at first in a post from just a few hours ago showing the device complete with a Verizon 4G LTE logo emblazoned on the back of the device. So we're sure it's coming to Verizon, at least - then just moments ago we've been tipped by a mister Matthew D.L. about an answer he received to the same question we're asking here - will anyone else get this device, the first Android with Ice Cream Sandwich?

Galaxy Nexus found on Verizon MAP for November 10 at $299

Galaxy Nexus found on Verizon MAP for November 10 at $299

It appears that there's a rat in the house at Verizon, vermin just loving the idea of letting loose some key information on future products via a MAP which includes not only the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but a device by the name of HTC Rezound as well. These two devices will be released on the 10th of November if this little chart is to be believed, and both of them will be priced at $299.99 right out of the gate. Judging by the rest of the items on the chart, it appears that this price may well be the price ON a 2-year contract - but of course it's the name that counts the most, isn't it - Galaxy Nexus. Sounds kinda tasty, doesn't it?

Carrier apps appear in Nexus 6: no surprise

Carrier apps appear in Nexus 6: no surprise

Just as Google said they would, Verizon apps have appeared on the Nexus 6 after the device's update to Android 5.1. As it was foretold at the dawn of Android 5.0 Lollipop, so it has come to pass: Nexus devices with carrier apps onboard. Just like it was in the past. Just as it shall be in the future. While these apps will not be kept by some users, most never see them - and some will expect that they'd been there all along, as all Verizon phones have similar apps.
