, Apr 6th 2012 Discuss [0]

I've wondered for a long time why it is manufacturers tend to make electric vehicles and hybrids so unattractive. Cars like the Nissan Leaf the Toyota Prius are boring and boxy looking. Thankfully, some companies are starting to come out with hybrids and EVs that are green and good-looking. One of the latest vehicles that falls into the green and attractive range is the Infiniti LE concept that surfaced this week at the New York Auto Show. Read The Full Story

Fisker has identified the problem that's been plaguing its Karma electric sedans, which it believes is the same problem that caused the embarrassing breakdown of the Karma purchased for review by Consumer Reports. Fisker knowingly sold half-baked cars claims ex-employee

, Mar 13th 2012 Discuss [0]

Electric car company Fisker can't catch a break lately; days after its Karma embarrassingly broke down before Consumer Reports could even begin testing it, a former employee has alleged Fisker knowingly pushed the Karma to market before it was fully baked so as to qualify for US government loans. The decision to begin releasing the Karma to market was made so as to improve Fisker's chances of securing the next stage of its Department of Energy finance, the ex-insider told GigaOm, payouts of which had already been frozen after the green car company failed to meet its agreed milestones. Luxury eco car company Fisker has been forced to freeze work on its second vehicle, Project Nina, as well as make a total of 66 redundancies as government loans dry up. Fisker, which began delivering Karma plug-ins back in July 2011, faced renewed US government attention with its launch schedule delays, GigaOm reports, with the Department of Energy suspending a $528.7m loan agreed in 2009 back in May 2011. Sim-Lei is simply ugly, proves being green isn’t easy

, Jan 17th 2012 Discuss [3]

If you took a big box of ugly and used it to design a green car, the Sim-Lei is exactly what I would picture the final product coming out as. This has to be the ugliest green car in the world. I don’t get why green car designers make the cars so unattractive so frequently. It’s not like ugly and green have to go together, look at the Tesla Roadster or the Fisker Karma to see green cars that look good too. Read The Full Story
