The Facebook Phone may be finally coming

Earlier this year, you may still remember the HTC Status and HTC Salsa from AT&T, the pair of "Facebook phones" that weren't exactly up to their titular status. But just hours ago, reporters over at All Things Digital claim that social-networking company itself is working with a cell phone manufacturer to build, yes, a very Facebook phone, code-named Buffy (from the vampire-killer television series, for some reason). And most likely not one with just a tiny little Facebook button on the front.

Motorola EX225 Facebook phone spotted

Looks like it's Motorola's turn to out a Facebook phone, with the EX225 spotted crossing through the Bluetooth SIG complete with a QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated button for the social network. Packing 3G, a 3-megapixel camera and a 2.4-inch LCD TFT display, OS isn't specified but there are no obvious Android buttons. That suggests it may be a more mundane platform underneath the Motorola skin, such as BREW.

Perhaps you've heard of the cool, fresh, and QWERTY toting HTC device known as the ChaCha, aka the Facebook phone whose close cousin is the no-keys HTC Salsa, another device we expect to be coming to the states soon? HTC Salsa and ChaCha Facebook phones hit pre-order

The first time we heard of the HTC ChaCha was when the smartphone was leaked by Facebook. The smartphone focuses heavily on Facebook and even had the Facebook logo on the bottom. The little smartphone also has a similar sibling called the HTC Salsa. If you are interested in the phones, they are both up for pre-order right now on Amazon UK. The phones have similar features with one major difference between them.

HTC ChaCha Facebook phone release dates scooped by – you guessed it – Facebook?

A series of HTC events to promote the company's Facebook drive may have tipped the launch dates of the HTC ChaCha Android smartphone. Eagle-eyed the::unwired spotted an HTC Germany Facebook promotion which will seemingly take the ChaCha - which has a dedicated Facebook button for sharing photos, status updates, location and media on the popular social networking site - on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from June 18.

INQ’s Cloud Touch budget Facebook phone up for pre-order

The INQ Cloud Touch, the company's first attempt at a Facebook phone, has been priced and dated for the UK, with pre-sales of the handset opening today and shipments expected to kick off from April 6. The budget-minded Android 2.2. Froyo handset has a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera, but more interesting is INQ's custom Facebook app which heavily integrates with the homescreen.
