Samsung has unveiled its latest media player, and the device is called the Galaxy Player 70 Plus. The media player will be launching today in Korea. LG has officially revealed its new 5-inch LG Optimus Vu smartphone/tablet hybrid, challenging Samsung’s Galaxy Note with a stylus-enabled 1.5GHz dual-core LTE handset. Teased earlier this month – and now revealed a week ahead of MWC 2012 and its official official debut – the Optimus Vu mimics a mini-iPad with its 4:3 aspect 1024 x 768 screen; like the iPad it uses an IPS panel, too, here with 650 nits brightness. At launch, the Optimus Vu will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but LG is promising Ice Cream Sandwich within three months of that.

Samsung has outed its latest Super AMOLED Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy M Style, promising to be "reasonably priced" despite packing a 4-inch display, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi b/g/n. When it comes to Pantech here in the USA, we've not exactly seen the best of the crop for smartphones - all that may be about to change with the Pantech Vega LTE. This device has a 4.5-inch 1280 x 800 pixel resolution display, runs Android 2.3.x Gingerbread, and totes a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor of yet unknown origin. That's set to go up against the big guns, if I do say so myself. LG snaps up Street Fighter IV for LU6200 HD superphone
