Dell Inspiron Mini 12 (1210) confirmed on Dell site

The Dell Inspiron Mini 12, aka the Inspiron 1210 or "Dell's 12-inch netbook", has shown up on the company's site, complete with a service manual and other details.  Larger than the existing Dell Inspiron Mini 9, which uses an 8.9-inch LCD, the Mini 12 has a 12.1-inch 1,280 x 800 display and the pick of Intel's Atom Z520 or Z530 processors paired with 1GB of DDR2 RAM.

Dell's partnership with carrier Vodafone UK has meant that, for the cost of a two-year data contract, users can have a "free" Inspiron Mini 9 netbook and 3G HSDPA connectivity without the hassle or bulk of an external dongle.   Pocket-lint have reviewed the WWAN-integrated Mini 9, and come away with mixed feelings: having everything built in is great, but some of the other hardware choices are disappointing.

Samsung NC10 netbook: better keyboard layout than rivals

Samsung's NC10 netbook is garnering more and more interest, with new higher-resolution images showing a well-laid-out keyboard that makes fewer concessions to a smaller casing than, say, the Dell Inspiron Mini 9.  The 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and 10.2-inch 1024 x 600 display are confirmed; what's new to us is that the VGA output can drive an external monitor at up to 2048 x 1536 at 85Hz, and that the N10 has HD audio.

Dell Inspiron 910 netbook running Ubuntu spotted

Images of Dell's Inspiron 910 netbook running Ubuntu have found their way to EngadgetInitial rumors have suggested that Dell would be announcing the netbook today, Friday August 22nd, but so far there has been no word from the company.  These new pictures, however, show a slightly modified keyboard, still with a Windows key that indicates Dell will definitely be offering a version of the netbook running a Microsoft OS (likely XP).
