Dell has ditched consumer netbooks and confirmed it has no plans to launch new budget ultraportables based on Intel's upcoming Cedar Trail platform, shifting attention instead to ultrabooks. T-Mobile USA Q1 2011: Income dives as nearly 1m subscribers jump ship

T-Mobile USA has announced its Q1 2011 results, and the numbers don't look great. Net customer losses hit 99,000 while revenue flatlined from Q1 2010 at $4.63bn; however, despite ARPU (average revenue per user) remaining steady at $46, overall income dived from $362m in Q1 2010 to $135m in Q1 2011. Sprint Q3 2010 finances out: subscribers up but still $911m net loss

Sprint is the latest US carrier to report its Q3 2010 financial results, and while they still lag behind Verizon and AT&T in terms of sheer numbers, it's a solid quarter for the CDMA network.  That's solid in terms of previous years, of course; Sprint still managed a net loss of $911m on net operating revenues of almost $8.2 billion, but at least they added 644,000 subscribers (the biggest number since 2006). Dell has outed its latest multimedia laptops, in the shape of the newly refreshed Dell XPS range.  Available in 14-, 15.6- and 17-inch sizes, the new XPS notebooks pack a choice of Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors and Optimus-compatible NVIDIA GeForce 400M GPUs.  Interestingly, they'll also be the first notebooks to ship with HD webcams that are Skype-certified.
