This week at IFA 2011 we’ve been able to get our hands on more than a couple devices, taking lovely videos as we go – this particular device is certainly not like the others in that instead of a smartphone, tablet, Ultrabook, or pair of earbuds, we’ve got an odd little music player. This is the Creative Zen X-Fi3, and as Creative shows us, it’s meant to be a competitor in the currently iPod-dominated portable music player market. It’s got a several features that are sure to turn your head including X-Fi Crystalizer audio enhancement and the ability to play FLAC files, but are they enough to get past the fact that this device does not have a touchscreen display? We’ve come to expect as much from basically every little portable device like this on the market – does it need to be in tact in order for us to love a product?

Creative ZEN X-Fi3 media player is packed with cool features for under $100

Creative has trotted out its latest media player today and the little thing is pretty cool looking. The player is called the ZEN X-Fi3 media player and it has a 2-inch screen and measures 65 x 45.5 x 12.5mm. The little player has a microSD card slot to add more music and video when you get low on internal storage. The player uses the X-Fi Crystallizer to make your tunes sound better. Read The Full Story

Creative ZEN X-Fi Style, ZEN Style 100 & 300 PMPs launch

Creative have announced their latest range of PMPs, the ZEN X-Fi Style and ZEN Style, kicking off a new "Pure Audio" campaign in which the company look to be pushing their sound quality in an attempt to stave off the iPod.  The ZEN X-Fi Style packs a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display, TV-output and X-Fi DSP, while the smaller ZEN Style gets a 1.8-inch TFT LCD, longer battery life (up to 32hrs audio) and smaller capacities. Creative launches SDK for X-Fi 2, free for developers

Creative Zii EGG Android “Stemcell Computing” developer device launched

Creative have announced their Zii EGG developer platform, the test hardware for coders to get to grips with their freshly "Plaszma" branded Stemcell Computing system.  The Zii EGG runs Google's Android OS on top of Creative's ZMS-05 chipset, and promises not only WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 10-point multitouch display, but 1080p video output, HD playback and OpenGL ES support. Cambridge Soundworks MovieWorks HD X-Fi iPod dock

Cambridge Soundworks - a subsidiary of Creative - have announced the MovieWorks HD, a docking station for the Apple iPod range that can output high-definition video and digital audio to a connected HDTV or audio system.  The MovieWorks HD also has an integrated X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity chip onboard, together with Creative's X-Fi Crystallize and X-Fi CMSS-3D technology, and connects via HDMI. Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi USB Headset

I remember back in the day when the name Fatal1ty was just first being heard around the internets. This was some kid that was making a real name for himself in the professional gaming world by dominating in Quake III Arena, and going on to win (or place very well) in dozens of professional tournaments. Nowadays you don't hear much about his victories, but you do see gaming products with is stamp of approval on them. The latest such products is the Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi USB Headest. First, this headset is not going to improve your fragging skills, I don't care who has their name stamped on it.
