This remote control could be for a lot of things - Apple's even gone so far as to release remote controls for its laptops in the past. But what's most likely, and what makes the most sense given Apple's schedule of releases, is this device being a remote for an Apple TV. This remote could very well be the first mention of a remote that could control all manner of Apple devices, too.

Facebook Bluetooth beacons released free for small businesses

Facebook for Business has revealed their next play in the small (and potentially large) business world - free bluetooth beacons. Facebook Bluetooth beacons send information to smartphones and tablets that come in range with them. Inside Facebook, users will see "place tips," including greetings and links to pages for locations they're exploring. At launch, Facebook Bluetooth beacons work only with iPhones - Android will just have to wait until the Facebook for Android app is ready to roll. Users will need an iPhone 4S or later with Bluetooth turned on to work with Facebook's bluetooth beacons.

JBL, the audio company that recently had 16 speakers and two subwoofers squeezed into a Smart car, has taken the wraps off two new speakers: the JBL Clip+ and the JBL Charge 2+. Both are wireless speakers offering connectivity over Bluetooth, with the Clip+ featuring a hooked top and the Charge 2+ a long cylindrical design. Each speaker brings with it its own features, though the Charge 2+ is no doubt the higher end of the two. Both are up for order now, though the Clip+ won't be shipping again until September.
