BlackBerry Curve 9360 outed: Oddly absent from RIM’s reveal

, Aug 3rd 2011 Discuss [1]

RIM has no shortage of phones to show us this morning - the Torch 9850/9860 for one, and the Torch 9810 - but one thing it didn't bring was a new Curve. That's strange, since it seems to have one waiting in the wings: OneMobileRing has apparently received a production-ready BlackBerry Curve 9360, the replacement to RIM's Curve 3G 9100 from last year. BlackBerry Curve 3G and Pearl 3G Heading to AT&T This Holiday Season

, Sep 29th 2010 Discuss [2]

RIM's BlackBerry Pearl 3G, which was announced some time ago, has been a no-show (here in the States) for quite some time. But it looks like AT&T is about to make that change, as the second largest wireless carrier in the United State has just announced that the device, along with the BlackBerry Curve 3G, are heading to their retail shelves this holiday season. The Pearl 3G will actually be available before the Curve 3G, and interestingly enough, neither device will require you to send in a mail-in rebate. Read The Full Story

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 3G hands-on

, Sep 16th 2010 Discuss [0]

Sprint confirmed yesterday it would be pushing out the BlackBerry Curve 3G from September 26th, but we ran into the QWERTY smartphone last night and had a quick play.  Although the Curve 3G isn't a new device - the GSM version (9300) has been available through T-Mobile USA and Vodafone UK for several weeks now - the Sprint 9330 model does double up on the RAM. Bell leak tips no BlackBerry 6 upgrades until 2011

, Aug 27th 2010 Discuss [0]

RIM may have promised BlackBerry 6 updates for the Bold 9700, 9650 and Pearl 3G, but that doesn't mean you're going to get them any time soon.  A leaked schedule document acquired by MobileSyrup purportedly from Canadian carrier Bell Mobility has revealed they don't plan to push out the new OS version until sometime in 2011.  According to the document, Bell's 9700, Pearl 9100 and recently released Curve 3G 9300 will be left with OS 5.x for at least several months. BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 gets official

, Aug 9th 2010 Discuss [0]

Having been spotted up for sale on Rogers' site last week, and in the wild many times before that, it hardly comes as a surprise to see RIM make the BlackBerry Curve 3G official.  The new messaging smartphone has a 2-megapixel camera, dual-band UMTS/HSPA and a 2.8-inch QVGA display.  It's also BlackBerry 6 "ready", which means the Curve 3G 9300 will run BlackBerry 5 at release and will likely see an OS 6 release later in 2010. BlackBerry Curve 9300 on sale on Rogers ahead of official unveil

, Aug 5th 2010 Discuss [3]

It's no Torch but the BlackBerry Curve 9300 has gone up for sale through Canadian carrier Rogers Wireless, despite not having been officially announced by RIM themselves.  As expected, the Curve 9300 is pretty much an 8520 with a hot injection of 3G.  $79.99 - and a three-year agreement - gets you the handset, complete with a 3-megapixel camera, dual-band UMTS/HSPA, a 2.8-inch QVGA display but not, despite what Rogers' spec sheet reckons, Android 2.1 as the OS.
