Publisher Activision has been granted the rights to release a video game based on a movie based on a board game. We're talking about Battleship, and even though you may think you know how to play the game, trust us when we say this PS3 and Xbox 360 title will involve a little bit more than plastic red and white pegs. People who work online can still have a terrible day at the office. Kevin Butler, Sony corporate spokesman, is having one right now. A PS3 fan tweeted the well-meaning PR suit a strange series of letters and numbers. Butler retweeted the numbers, adding: "Lemme guess...you sank my Battleship?" As it happens, those numbers were a crucial bit of code needed to hack the Sony PlayStation 3. Butler had revealed them to a whole world of Sony followers. It was an event worthy of two face-palms. The second full generation of Google Glass has begun to appear in homes officially as one Det Ansinn breaks out the box this morning. This fellow is one of a group called BrickSimple, LLC, developers of Glass apps specifically. They've created such oddities as the GlassBattle game - a Battleship-like title for Google Glass. Describing the new Glass headset, Ansinn suggests that it "looks identical" from the outset - below you'll see a photo of another BrickSimple employee Kel Bucey sporting the new headset. As far as board games go, it's hard to get more classic than Monopoly. I'm sure most of us have spent many hours playing the board game over the years. The game has changed slightly and some iterations have gone from paper money to credit cards and such, but at its core it's the same game of dominating your friends in the real estate market.
