Avengers: Age of Ultron new trailer drops

Marvel decided to give us a new treat today, dropping another Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer into the mix. With this trailer we see some things we've seen before, but it is mostly new footage, and there's a lot of talking -- and that may not be a good thing if you don't like too much of a movie ahead of time. We've watched the trailer a couple times and there's nothing particularly spoiler-warning worthy, though of course your eyes might happen to catch something notable, so proceed with caution.

This spring will see Marvel Comics launch a new storyline event called Secret Wars, which sees all superhero groups broken up, and new crossovers across the entire Marvel Universe. Part of this new event will be a run of A-Force, a team entirely made up of Marvel's female heroes, put in place of the original Avengers. The A-Force comics will include She-Hulk, Medusa, Dazzler, and Nico Minoru. One of the writers for the series mentions that it serves as proof of Marvel's commitment to gender diversity.

LEGO Avengers SHIELD Helicarrier revealed: very massive

LEGO Avengers SHIELD Helicarrier revealed: very massive

To be entirely clear up front, this model does NOT reflect what we're about to see in the Avengers: Age of Ultron film. Instead, this is a set made based on the first Avengers film, already released in theaters and long since placed on Blu-ray, DVD, etc. This particular set also reminds us that there's more than one scale at which LEGO sets are built - this one contains several super tiny minifigs (called MICROfigures) that allow this set to exist on a scale that's reasonable for the average builder.

There's 1:40 minutes of footage, and it seems more tailored toward tweaking the viewer's emotions rather than presenting any big new look at the movie and its story. As always, we have the trailer available after the jump!

Court to Google: help identify source of Avengers trailer leak

Court to Google: help identify source of Avengers trailer leak

On October 22, Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer leaked. This was a problem, as it wasn't supposed to debut for a few more days, being set to show during the next Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D episode. A final cut of the trailer wasn't ready to go out, however, so Marvel had to hastily put one together, which it made live on its YouTube channel in response to the leak. During the time slot it was originally set to air, Marvel showed an "extended edition" trailer instead, all the while hunting down who leaked the footage in the first place.

Avengers: Age of Ultron first official trailer goes live

Back during the 2013 San Diego Comic Con we saw a teaser for the upcoming movie Avengers: Age of Ultron. That teaser was largely audio, featuring only close-up shots of various parts of the Ultron suit while ambiguous snippets of dialogue played in the background. Following this comes something far more satisfying (and twice the length): the official teaser trailer, which kicks off with the opening monologue, "I'm going to show you something beautiful. Everyone screaming for mercy."
