It seems as though GameStop's bold move to begin offering Android tablets alongside its traditional packed shelves of traditional console and handheld video games may be working out in its favor. The retailer has gone from a bunch of test stores to now selling Android devices in no fewer than 1,600 locations. A rumor has surfaced claiming that Google has a 7-inch tablet set to ship in June. The source of the rumor is a DigiTimes "source" in the upstream supply chain. NVIDIA’s Kai aims for $199 quad-core Android tablets

At CES 2012, NVIDIA and ASUS took to the stage and announced the MeMo 370T, a quad-core Tegra 3 Android tablet that would cost just $249. Rumors have suggested that the tablet has since been cancelled, or possibly rebranded as Google’s Nexus tablet, but there hasn’t been any other attempts by a company to hit that price point with such powerful specs.
