ASUS Eee Pad E121 makes video tease: 12″ Core i5 Windows 7 slate

ASUS is dropping some serious hints about its upcoming Eee Pad EP121 tablet, ahead of the slate's official debut at CES 2011 next month. According to the teaser video, the ASUS EP121 will have a 12-inch display and use an Intel Core i5 processor; that's up from the Core 2 Duo ULV chip we first heard back in May. ASUS Eee Note EA800 gets video unboxing; user-guide goes live

ASUS' Eee Note EA800 note-taking tablet is a curious device, opting for monochrome LCD instead of the usual frugal E Ink display, and positioned by the company as a resolutely niche, companion device rather than a converged do-anything slate. NetbookNews have snagged one of the first, managed to get ASUS to re-flash it with English firmware rather than Chinese, and then wasted no time before unboxing and demonstrating it on video.

ASUS Eee PC 1215N Review

The line between a netbook and a notebook used to be pretty straightforward, but with Intel's increasingly powerful Atom processors and NVIDIA's ambitious Ion-powered Optimus graphics, the distinction is more blurred. Typifying this new breed of netbook is ASUS' Eee PC 1215N, a 12.1-inch Seashell-series machine that could well be considered a true ultraportable despite its roughly $500 price tag. Asus Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook Now Available in the US for $399

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook Now Available in the US for $399

Just a couple of days ago, Asus took some time at PEPCOM to announce a plethora of new hardware, ranging from netbooks to PCs. And while the announcement did well to let people know what was coming, Asus wasn't very clear on when each piece of new technology would find its way to the market, let alone where in the world they would be launching. If the Eee PC 1015PEM is any indication, then it looks like we won't have to wait long to start seeing the other announcements popping up.

ASUS Eee PC 1215N gets reviewed: bargain 12-inches

When is a netbook not really a netbook?  Why, when it gets a desktop version of Intel's Atom CPU, has notebook-style Optimus graphics, and - arguably - a larger display than 10.1-inches.  By those counts, ASUS should be calling their Eee PC 1215N a 12.1-inch ultraportable not a netbook, but then they might put the price up from $499 and, according to Laptop, then we'd be missing out on something of a bargain.
