ASUS tease color combinations for tablets at MWC 2012

There's another brand new teaser video in town this week, coming from ASUS with three colors in mind: Red, White, and Blue, painted right over the tablet landscape. Here's what we're figuring, given the information we have so far: this teaser is for the PadFone. Thus far we've gotten one teaser called "Divided We Stand" complete with some Russian nesting dolls, then we got a "Twice the Pixels, Twice the Fun" teaser which showed how if you put a bunch of rubber balls in a bin, they look better if there's more of them, now we get this. This teaser has three colors on a pallet, a painter smooshing one of them and stamping out a masterpiece on canvas.

Asus starts Transformer TF101 Android 4.0 update in Taiwan

If you are a user of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101 Android tablet that has been anxiously waiting for the Android 4.0 update, the time is near. Asus has announced via Facebook that as of today it's officially rolling out the first wave of over the air updates for the Transformer tablet. The update is firmware version v.9.2.1.11 and Asus promises other regions will get the update soon.

Transformer Prime bootloader unlock now available!

This week the folks at ASUS have granted the world with a simple unlock tool for their most excellent tablet yet, the Transformer Prime. Since this first in its class for many reasons device was released, developers and so-called hackers have ben working on plans for what they're going to do with the Transformer Prime once its bootloader was unlocked, and now the fun can commence. As is true with any bootloader unlock on an Android device specifically, going forward with the process will void your contract and will make your device no longer the device it once was.

Transformer Prime gets Ubuntu with bootloader unlock release

ASUS has released the bootloader unlock tool for the Eee Pad Transformer Prime this morning, and developers have wasted no time in opening up the Tegra 3 tablet to Ubuntu. Prime owner littlesteve had a Ubuntu build prepped and waiting for just this day, though there are still some hardware issues to iron out: no touchscreen support, for instance, so that a Bluetooth mouse is necessary for navigation.
