Wallet MID gets closer to release, US launch possible

Looking strikingly like the mysterious Android MID we've been seeing so much of lately, this is actually eviGroup's upcoming Wallet MID.  First tipped back in May and promised for a launch by the end of 2009, the touchscreen handheld has been described by the French company's CEO as a "unit halfway between a cellphone and a TabletPC with a 5-inch screen", though right now it's unknown whether it uses an Intel x86 CPU with Windows OS or a frugal ARM chipset with 7+ hours runtime and custom OS.

Archos launching Android 3G PMP on June 11th?

Archos have announced a press event to be held on June 11th in Paris, France.  While there's no actual written confirmation of what the event might be about, the shadowy PMP/MID device visible on the invite and the bright green color-scheme has led to speculation that it concerns Archos' Android-based Internet Media Tablet (IMT) phone.

SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: December 21, 2012

Welcome to Friday evening everyone. Depending on who you choose to believe, today was the day it was all supposed to come crashing down, but since that doesn't seem like it'll be happening, let's recap the news from the day and then jump into the weekend, shall we? Today was a historic day aside from being the rumored end of the world, as Psy's ridiculously popular hit Gangnam Style topped 1 billion views on YouTube, officially becoming the first video to do so and beating Justin Bieber to the punch.
