Archos has revealed its latest tablet, the Archos Child Pad, targeted at kids looking for a tasty slice of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The $129 slate runs Android 4.0 on an unspecified 1GHz processor, with a 7-inch screen and 1GB of RAM. More important than the hardware, though, is the software, which Archos has locked down to be child-friendly.

Archos 70 Internet Tablet Available Now, First Android Tablet with 250GB HDD

Archos has just pulled the official curtain off the company's latest Android-based Internet tablet. The Archos 70 Internet tablet may just look like another tablet on the outside, especially when compared to previously released Archos-branded Android-based tablet devices, but this one's special. Why? Because this one's the first Android tablet to feature a 250GB hard drive under the hood.

Archos 28, 32, 43, 70 & 101 Tablets Announced, Feature Android in Range of Sizes

We can probably safely assume at this point that tablets are here to stay. At least for awhile. And considering the effort that Archos has already put into the Android-based "tablet" market, there's no surprise here that they've just pulled the curtain off five (5!) brand new tablet devices, all featuring Google's mobile Operating System. Ranging in sizes and prices, as well as plenty of Archos-based "improvements" to the User Interface, meet the family of new Archos tablets.

Archos Phone Tablet axed over poor carrier support?

Archos' Android-based Phone Tablet was meant to make an appearance at CES 2010 a few months back, and after it failed to show up there we assumed it would be spotted at either MWC 2010 or CeBIT 2010 this week.  That doesn't look to be the case, however - Archos have outed their new Home Tablets and a range of PMPs, but no smartphone - and according to French financial paper Les Echoes (quoted by LesMobiles) the device may in fact never launch.

Archos Vision Series PMPs: 1.4 to 4.3-inches

Not, perhaps, as interesting as the company's new Home Tablets, but Archos also have a line of new and updated PMPs to show at CeBIT 2010.  The Archos Vision Series ranges from the tiny 24g Vision A14VG, with a video-capable 1.4-inch LCD display, FM radio and 4GB of storage, to the 4.3-inch touchscreen Vision A43VB, with 8GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 30hr battery and a video-output for playing content on a bigger display.
