New Apple part numbers leak: iMac, Mac mini, Time Capsule & Airport updates

The Apple Store is still down and the Cupertino company themselves are still tight-lipped, but thanks to Apple Insider we have a pretty reasonable idea of what might be on the virtual shelves in the next few hours.  They've received a list of product numbers, complete with some descriptions, which suggest Apple are readying a few new Mac mini units (one without an optical drive), a new 21.5-inch iMac, two new Time Capsules (1TB and 2TB) and a new Airport Extreme.

Macworld 08: Apple launch Time Capsule wireless NAS

First up from Steve Jobs' Macworld 08 Keynote is a wireless NAS: Time Capsule is an AirPort Extreme complete with a server-grade hard-drive that works seamlessly with OS X's Time Machine backup software.  Available in two capacities, 500GB and 1TB, Time Capsule resembles an Apple TV unit with 802.11n WiFi, and will be priced at $299 and $499 respectively.

Here’s the Beats Pill Apple just recalled

Apple recalls the Beats Pill XL portable, wireless speaker due to an overheating problem. This problem has been recorded by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and is an official recall of one model of the Beats Pill. This model is the Beats Pill XL, the capsule-shaped speaker system approximately 4-inches tall, 13-inches wide, and 4-inches deep. There's a carrying handle on the rear, the Beats "b" logo up front, and the name "beatspillXL" on the handle. All other editions of the Beats Pill and Beats Headphones appear to be safe at this time.
