Dell XPS One 27 Review: a real touchscreen Windows 8 All-in-One hero

Here in the first few months after Microsoft introduced Windows 8 to the world, we're still looking for the perfect set of homes for this touch-friendly operating system - and in the Dell XPS One 27 (Touch Screen enabled model 2710), we may have found the best all-in-one solution yet. This beast works with a 27-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution (Quad HD) display ready for 10-finger touch on an articulating stand. This stand will allow you to move 60 degrees, nearly flat to an ever-so-slightly forward-leaning position - your choice!

Acer Aspire S5 Review

Acer Aspire S5 Review

Let's have a peek at the Acer Aspire S5, the ultrabook with the mechanical "MagicFlip" dish in the back with ports that whirrs out when you need to plug in and don't need all that pesky space this near-thinnest on the market notebook works with. It's just 0.6-inches when it's all folded up, and pressing that button in the upper right of your keyboard brings down a flap in the back that has a set of ports you'll only otherwise get with a laptop twice this one's size. Inside the S5 you've got Windows 7, a 3rd generation Intel Core i& processor, and the whole device looks just fabulous - but is it worth the massive price tag it comes attached with?

iPhone 4S: The Opinions Are In

iPhone 4S: The Opinions Are In

With the iPhone 4S hitting stores and mailboxes this week, it becomes one of the most vital times for reviews of this newest member of the legendary smart device family. Only a select few hand-picked people were given the iPhone 4S with enough time to review the device at length, and you KNOW that they're going to go just about as in-depth as you could possibly want them to go. That said, what we're going to try to do here is to soften the immense blow that would be the hours of reading you'd normally have to do to get through all of them. What's the general consensus amongst the first reviewers of the iPhone 4S? Let's take a look!

Mac OS X Lion Review

Mac OS X Lion Review

What you're about to experience is a trip down the rabbit hole with Mac OS X Lion, Apple's newest desktop operating system. With yours truly you'll be both exploring and judging the way this nearly radical new system is set up and what it means to you, the consumer and me, the tech news publisher. What you're going to find is Apple's most innovative release since the original Mac OS X, the first big departure from the known paradigm inside the Mac world. In one gesture, (literally one gesture, as seen in section 2 of this exploration,) Apple has both bridged a gap between what's been called mobile OS, (or in their case, iOS), and desktop OS, further turning what it means to own a computer into what owning a computer will or does mean to you.

iMac Core i5 3.10GHz review (mid 2011)

iMac Core i5 3.10GHz review (mid 2011)

It's been less than a year since Apple's last iMac refresh, but thanks to Intel's 2011 Sandy Bridge update the aluminum all-in-ones had been looking a little last-gen. That all changed this past week, with a quad-core refresh across the board and a new set of AMD Radeon graphics chips to match. Still, no aesthetic change - bar the addition of a Thunderbolt port on the back - and no Blu-ray or touchscreen. Has the iMac kept pace with the rest of the market? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

iPad 2: Post-PC is Premature

iPad 2: Post-PC is Premature

The "post-PC" world. Sounds great, doesn't it. No more malware headaches, none of that awful association with dull cubicle work. Steve Jobs sits in a comfy chair and pages happily through his latest productivity-slash-entertainment apps; we imagine ourselves soaking up the WiFi in our local coffee shop, whiling our days shooting 720p video, editing it and uploading it all in one fell swoop. Dump your desk chairs, throw away your mouse mats. The iPad 2 has saved us from our shackles and shown us the light.

Nokia E7 Review

Arriving on the market late, the Nokia E7 finds itself launching at a shaky point in the Finnish company's history. Misplaced, misguided or money in the bank? Check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

iPhone Conrolled Parrot AR.Drone Quadricopter Gets Augmented Reality Chase Game for iOS

This game is called AR.Pursuit and it'll make controlling your flying machine all the more fantastic with augmented reality - available at the end of November in the Apple App Store. It's a two-player game where you control your AR.Drone VS a friend's, blasting away at them with missiles and machine guns, playing cat and dog in a real world / virtual reality world simulation. It's so weird! It's so wild! It looks like so much fun!
