Apple's "iWatch" wearable could predict heart attacks by tracking blood-flow from the noise it makes in arteries, new sources claim, along with further chatter of talks between Apple and Tesla, suggesting the Cupertino firm could be looking to significantly expand its footprint. The health wearable would use pioneering audio technology to track blood turbulence, it's said, differentiating between healthy flow and the sound of blood struggling to get past the plaque build-up that can lead to coronary failure.

Apple will start in-store screen replacement for iPhone 5C and 5S

Back in May, we mentioned that Apple was looking to change up how it services customer devices under AppleCare warranty. Traditionally Apple has simply replaced a lot of iPhone models if damaged with a new device. As a way to reduce costs, Apple announced it will have employees at its Genius Bar repair items. Word has surfaced that Apple stores will soon be getting the ability to repair iPhone 5S and 5C screens along with other parts. Apple previously offered some repair services for the iPhone 5.

Today several bits of a couple of speeches made by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and another Macintosh legend have surfaced via a friendly holder of several VHS recordings of a 1984 meeting of the Apple Pi computer club. These tapes recorded Woz and Apple Employee #6 Randy Wigginton speaking at the Denver Apple Pi computer club back on October 4th 1984, and are being digitized and cleaned for your enjoyment this weekend. Apple Store design and layout granted official US trademark

If you were planning on opening a store selling your brand new computer brand with a setup that's not unlike the Apple Store, you'll probably want to re-think your strategy starting this week. Apple has officially been granted a trademark protecting their retail store design and layout by the US Patent & Trademark Office this week. The original trademark request application was made all the way back in May of 2010, so whatever you remember about the store design back then that's survived until now you'll want to avoid when knocking out your own store in the future.
