Rovio hints at potential level editor coming to Angry Birds

Rovio hints at potential level editor coming to Angry Birds

Rovio recently gave us a big hint on the Angry Birds Facebook page that a level editor could be coming soon to the game. The Facebook post showed an image of a green pig with building blocks surrounding it, and the pig having thought bubbles illustrating how the blocks might be put together. The new rumor comes just a few weeks after reports surfaced of a new version of Angry Birds that would let users change sides and play as the green pigs.

Rovio may be planning Angry Birds version to play as pigs

We’ve all had some good practice at launching a few thousand or so virtual birds into virtual air, and now Rovio may have plans to shake things up a little but allowing users to take the other side by playing as one of the green pigs. After two years of being the target, it seems as if it’s officially time for the pigs to take revenge on their avian rivals.

Angry Birds reaches one billion downloads

Angry Birds reaches one billion downloads

Sometimes we lay awake at night pondering life, the universe, and everything. Other times we cry ourselves to sleep for not coming up with the idea of Angry Birds and making disgusting amounts of money. We imagine Rovio is feeling pretty pleased with itself right about now, as Angry Birds has amassed a total of one billion downloads since the games launch back in December 2009.

Warn your friends about fake Angry Birds apps

Warn your friends about fake Angry Birds apps

This week the folks at Rovio have gone out of their way to warn new users of their all-powerful game family to seek out the real version of Angry Birds Space, avoiding all shams. As it has been since the beginning of game downloads and as it shall be until the end, fakers and cash-grabbers are creating apps which purport to be the official version, only to contain either a broken version of said game - or worse: hacks. What we've done here is to link to all of the Angry Birds games on the Apple App Store for iOS, Google Play, the Nokia Store, and BlackBerry App World.

Angry Birds outs Galaxy Note update, Android 4.0 ICS missing

Angry Birds outs Galaxy Note update, Android 4.0 ICS missing

It appears that the possibility that Samsung will be pushing another "Premium Suite" upgrade to their devices instead of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update promised weeks ago may be getting very real. Though we've yet to hear back on the oddity of this particular tip, the words are there for everyone to read, and right at the end of the Samsung Galaxy Note's very own Angry Birds Space teaser 2 video, of all places. We've been teased with this game for some time now, hearing that Rovio is working with Samsung for a release on Samsung smartphones exclusively, that they're working with NASA and National Geographic for cross-promotion, and now that the Galaxy Note will be the first device to roll out with the update.

Lenovo V370 promotions begin with Bruce Lee, Angry Birds, and Zombies

Lenovo V370 promotions begin with Bruce Lee, Angry Birds, and Zombies

Behold the first absolutely wacky advertisement spot for the Lenovo slim notebook V370, complete with no less than Plants vs Zombies characters, Angry Birds, and an epic battle to the death with Bruce Lee! The point this particular spot appears to be trying to get across is that the V370 is both strong and slim, but you wouldn't know it was a commercial for a laptop if you didn't see the first and last 5 seconds of the video. Thus is the way laptops must be promoted in the fact of Ultrabooks, we suppose, now that strength beats down the traditional size and shape of a standard laptop.
