Motorola has launched its first Intel-based Android smartphone, the Motorola RAZR i, a 4.3-inch handset running a 2GHz Intel chip. RAZR i uses a qHD Super AMOLED "edge to edge" display that, Motorola claims, delivers a 40-percent larger panel than an iPhone 4S, or a 15-percent larger display than an iPhone 5, size for size. On the outside, there's Kevlar for tough, lightweight protection.

It appears that the HP smartphone is coming back to the universe with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich taking the wheel where webOS left off - that's what a benchmark discovered in the depths of odd product testing is telling us this week. What we're seeing here is a GLBenchmark set of test results that shows a device code-named Bender with the HP branding sitting right up top. Researchers at Georgia Tech’s Center for Music Technology have created a one-foot tall robot that does nearly everything that a real DJ can do. The robot--called Shimi--is an interactive “musical buddy” that acts as an Android smartphone docking station. Once Shimi gets access to the music library stored on your Android device, the bot can offer song recommendations, pick up the beat of the music, dance along to it and play songs based on feedback.
