Hungry Moose Games, a game studio in Canada started by former Bioware developers, is working together with Green Throttle Games to develop a new Android-based living room game designed specifically for Green Throttle Game's Atlas controller. The title is called 9 Lives: Casey & Sphynx, and it follows a "misfit" couple, Casey the security guard and Sphynx the stray cat, who together risk their 9 lives on a puzzle-based adventure.

iOS 6 finally got its jailbreak after several months being available, and iPhone 5 users have no doubt been rejoicing the ability to open up the iOS platform to customize their devices and add tweaks that Apple doesn’t normally allow. 2012 was quite a huge year for Android. We saw the jump from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and then to version 4.2. Ice Cream Sandwich was a solid operating system, but Jelly Bean made it even better, adding new features like Google Now, better notifications, and even Photo Sphere. However, the software was merely just a vehicle for the hardware to ride on -- the devices themselves were what really shined this year.
