G-Form Extreme Portfolio for iPad 2 Review

, Feb 8th 2012 Discuss [5]

The portfolio case you’re about to see is so hardcore that it can carry essentially any 10-inch tablet from here to outer space and plummet back to the ground with the tablet unharmed. This case is the baddest mother to have come out on the case circuit since the launch of the original iPad, having so much padding that you’ll struggle to find a way to do the protection justice. This is the G-Form Extreme Portfolio, and if you put your iPad in it, start a movie up, toss it out of your car off of a bridge onto a rocky ground below, you’ll also be able to find it easily because it’s BRIGHT yellow – and it won’t have been damaged either – your movie will still be rolling.

Tablets: an Android 2011 Retrospective

, Jan 2nd 2012 Discuss [18]

When the year 2011 is looked back upon by the Google historians, they’ll mark it as the first time they officially made an effort to bring the Android platform to devices with displays larger than handheld smartphones – what we saw, as a result, was everything from the XOOM to the ASUS Transformer Prime. Acer Iconia Tab A700 continues Android ICS drive with NVIDIA Tegra 3

, Dec 30th 2011 Discuss [6]

There's a whole mess of tablets coming in 2012, and if what Acer is presenting already in leaked photos is any indication, their Iconia Tab A700 10-inch tablet is just one tip of the iceberg, with it's NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Ice Cream Sandwich putting it in the running for world's greatest aside the ASUS Transformer Prime. There's no way to gauge if this machine will stand up the tests its predecessors the A500, A501, and A100 were subject to, but by the looks of it, Acer's certainly stayed the course with design sensibilities on the outside. Look for this device to appear at CES 2012 aside its A200 brethren without a doubt. Read The Full Story

, Dec 2nd 2011 Discuss [2]

Acer has officially announced the Iconia Tab A200, its latest Android tablet, though don't expect any Transformer Prime-style performance rivalry here. The Iconia Tab A200 runs Android 3.2 on a Tegra 2 processor, not the newer Tegra 3, promising affordability rather than cutting-edge specs. However, Acer has confirmed that the A200 is in line for an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade come January 2012. Read The Full Story
