The Acer Aspire One is among the most searched for netbooks here on SlashGear, so we were keen to get the 8.9-inch budget ultraportable in to see whether all the fuss is warranted.  Based on Intel's 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, our review model has 512MB of RAM, an 8GB SSD, WiFi b/g and runs Linux.  We'll be putting it through its paces over the coming week, but until then enjoy the unboxing video!

Acer's entrant to the netbook market, the Aspire One, has hit the FCC and been promptly dismantled.  Often these photo-sets are primarily of interest to those who simply enjoy watching gadgets being broken open, but this time round there are a few interesting details about potential future storage updates and a revealing shot of the extended battery.

As promised, Acer's Aspire One budget ultraportable is now officially available in the US.  The notebook, intended to rival ASUS' wildly popular Eee PC, uses Intel's 1.6GHz Atom CPU, an 8GB SSD (or 120GB standard HDD) for storage and runs the Linpus Lite Linux OS (with Windows XP Home as an option).  It weighs 2.17 pounds and measures 9.8 x 6.7 x 1.14-inches, and will be available at first in sapphire blue or seashell white before golden brown and diamond black arrive later in the year.

Acer's entrant to the budget ultraportable fray, the Aspire One which we first saw last week, has been made official.  As expected, the notebook is based on Intel's 1.6GHz Atom processor, has an 8.9-inch display (though 1024 x 600 rather than 1024 x 768 as was predicted) and comes as standard with a Linux OS (Linupus Lite) with Windows XP an option.  Storage is courtesy of an 8GB SSD, with 512MB of RAM and a memory card reader.

Feel free to groan and say "not another one"; photos purporting to be Acer's challenge to the Eee/Wind/2133/etc range of budget ultraportables have shown up, together with some basic spec details.  Believed to be called the Aspire One, the notebook has an 8.9-inch, 1024 X 768 display.  It also, apparently, runs Windows XP SP3 and is estimated to come in at €299.

This week Acer has appeared at Computex with several next-generation computers, the largest of which is a 23-inch display-toting all-in-one PC with ultra HD resolution, this machine called the Aspire Z3. This PC's 23-inch screen works with 1080p Full HD LED-backlit LCD technology and 10-point touch, made for families and multi-person working environments with its 178-degree viewing angles. Inside users will find an Intel Core processor (which generation we'll find out soon) as well as Intel HD graphics.

Acer has outed its latest all-in-one PC, and this time there's 3D in the mixture as well. The Acer Aspire Z5763 has a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 display and uses NVIDIA 3D Vision with an integrated emitter for the active shutter glasses; inside there's a choice of Intel Core i5-2400s, i5-2500s or i7-2600s CPUs along with Intel HD Graphics, NVIDIA GeForce GT440 or the GeForce GT435M.
