Just recently, Samsung has announced the release of their slimmest and sleekest DAP, the YP-K3, which will debut at CES in January 2007. Samsung YP-K5 – DAP with integrated speakers

Samsung released a new player called YP-K5, an attractive looking MP3 player that comes with an integrated speaker. The YP-K5 measures 3.85 x 1.87 x 0.74 inches; supports MP3, OGG, ASF, and WMA files; with DNSE DAP (Digital Natural Sound Engine); a build in FM radio tuner and will be offered in three versions - with 1GB of memory, 2 GB for $210 and with 4 GB for $260 and touch screen. I think it’s a reasonable price for this digital audio player. Battery time is expected to be 30 hours when using earphones, or 6 hours in speaker mode. We still don’t know about the sound quality but according to the company, this player delivers better sound than anything you would expect that could fit in your pocket. Read The Full Story

Samsung YP-K5 DAP With Integrated Speakers

, Aug 15th 2006 Discuss [0]

Now here’s a thought, instead of a flip open speaker like this new Samsung YP-K5 DAP, Apple should replace it with a really large screen for video. Nah, that’s not Apple-like. Nonetheless, this player supports MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG files. It comes in 1, 2 and 4 GB in capacity. The integrated speaker is designed to take advantage of DNSE DAP, which stands for Digital Natural Sound Engine – a nice and long fancy name for what may be really crappy speakers. Read The Full Story
