I have 2 in my MSI laptop (500gb models) they have worked perfectly for the past 6 month

I have the 500gb and it has been nothing but problems. I suggest taking a look at seagates xt forums before buying into this gimmick. For all we know the hard drive used in the video died after this test.

i tried the 500 sst in my Lenovo T400 and had a heat problem, lots of system crashes. sent it back. Seagate needsv to show power and heat curve comparisons before i try again

Not really worth the money for the small amount of extra speed those provide. Plus seagate hard drives are less than what I would call reliable.

What about power consumption? Would it be in the middle of an HDD and SSD? I would assume it would still be pretty close to a regular HDD since it still has moving parts. Anybody know?
