Would you mind doing me a favor, could you find a 2.5&quot; sata drive, and see if that connector is simply sata+power?  does it plug directly into the drive(I suppose you can&#039;t open the drive case if it is on loan)?

It looks like the standard 2.5&quot; drive SATA connector, and that you could even used an uncased 2.5&quot; drive if that is the case. It&#039;s tempting to just buy the cable and plug a sata drive into it and see what happens.]]></description>
