this thing is just marketing crap, i.e. bundle a standard 2.5″ hd with a plastic enclosure and a sata-to-usb connector together and give this combo a neat name, for a lower price you can buy a 2.5″ hdd and a sata-to-usb converter

i really want to buy this HDD due its normal sata connector i can connect directly into my internal sata ports of mobo its give you high transfer speed..

Did you try a regular SATA drive with the connector? Did it work?

Yes, it seems to be a SATA connector. We’ll see if we can dig out a SATA drive and see what happens…

Would you mind doing me a favor, could you find a 2.5″ sata drive, and see if that connector is simply sata+power? does it plug directly into the drive(I suppose you can’t open the drive case if it is on loan)?

It looks like the standard 2.5″ drive SATA connector, and that you could even used an uncased 2.5″ drive if that is the case. It’s tempting to just buy the cable and plug a sata drive into it and see what happens.
