This find would significantly devalue diamonds, if we had access to Faster-Than-Light (FTL) drives (to reach the planet in 40 years or so relative-Earth time), anti-gravity modules (to keep from being crushed by the 2,100+ newtons of force exerted by the Diamond World’s gravity well), robots to mine the materials, and phase-plasma rifles to battle the non-carbon life forms that undoubtedly eat the diamonds for their breakfast.
