Motorola has always disappointed me, as a company that is innovative, but lacks vision. I think this is what you get when you have good engineers but no leadership.[state of most tech companies] Thus the best thing that could happen to Motorola is Google. Lets be clear those Google deffently understand the weakness of the Android platform, and having services like Motoblur around really do not help. We can kiss at least one half baked proprietary service good by. Getting Hardware vendors not to F with the interface is tuff, because they see the numbers, and they want to skim off the top. Classic accountin thinking, not realizing their cannibalizing health of the Android ecosystem in doing that. Innovation needs to be at the hardware level not at the software level. But looking at both is normal, thus Apple think, that however is a cop out. Google hopefully will stay the course into uncharted lands using Motorola as the gold standard in Android phones, thus by encouragement, lead the other manufactures in the cooperative development of a manged open source environment. It is hard to know what this will look like, but the last think we need is another Apple.
