I have had 3 IPhone (no jail break)….first one really lagy all the time….and would restart….second the OS crashed or died….needed another phone….that’s three now….so I really don’t get what Apple people are saying…..and oh yah Ill never heard an Apple user say that the iPhone is so much better after jail broken….what a joke..
Apple how long did it take you to allow users to change their background…lol….and so other many things….
I think apple users are pissed cus the know the truth….and the iPhone band wagon is crumbling…”really Apple”
But hey I like the battle….cus in the end we will both have better phones for the user..

IPhone = paid apps, games are ok…phone gets old quick and UI get old quick.
Android…..free apps, THD games….and soon xbox games….and after months the phone can still make you fall in love with it again

You ask why xbox games on Android and not windows….it will be on both duh….more sells…..you can find videos testing phones running games on it now.
Full xbox games people….jot some dun down ver

Plus I know this cus this is what I do for a job….test games and hardware for Android and Windows and even iPhone….yes its a sick job

1. Which apps? I’ve found apps for pretty much everything i need
2. I ran stock rom on my SGS2 for at least a month or two before venturing into custom roms not because of any performance issues but just to try them out the offering from the familiar names in the custom roms business

Funny how Apple fanboys said the same thing about Windows. They told me OSX never crashes. I used a MBP for a month, and whaddya know…I got tons of so-called “kernel panics.” Annoying as hell, more so than a BSOD.

Yeah, it WAS somewhat slow and ugly, but hell, the original iPhone didn’t even ship with 3G…The only time I’ve suffered slowing down is on my HTC Hero, after over a year of use with, the app memory full, and I mean completely full. As for the SGS2, I’ve been blown away by how fast it is! And for ugliness, page after page of icons is hardly attractive…
From my experience of iOS (friends iPhones and my iTouch 4), it’s as prone to lagging and crashing than Android.

That’s good you found a phone you like and fits your needs. The iPhone has better exclusive apps especially if you like to game. Android to me is just less responsive, which is attributed to the 60fps UI of iOS. Android is just clunky and I hate having to end tasks or reset the phone when it’s running slow. Why is the retention rating so low for Android? For me it all comes down to apps. If I wanted a knock-off of Windows (and deal with just as many problems) I’d look into getting an Android.

Maybe I’ll check out Android again in a year or two but if the exact same apps aren’t available I won’t bother. I could care less if the phone allowed me to customize the background or move widgets around, redecorating isn’t a big deal. Not to mention every Android phone needs a custom ROM to be considered good. “Oh sure Android is slow but just install a custom ROM” ….pffft no.

Whoever said this user interface is like apple has never touched this phone. I’ve had this phone now for 4 months, bought it in the UK. I also have latest gen Iphone, which I never use anymore. This thing blows the Iphone away in every category possible, speed, graphics, OS, etc…. Wont go back to Iphone, waiting for the US 4G counterpart to come out.

Have you actually used an Android device? Cause that picture above is just the app drawer. All the good stuff happens on the home screen which looks nothing like the iPhone’s interface. Perhaps it is selling well because it’s thin, light, has an absolutely stunning large screen and has the processing power to keep Android running silky smooth no matter what gets thrown at it? Just a theory of mine.

Can’t wait until I get a job after graduation. First thing I’m doing is ditching my Virgin Mobile plan and probably getting whatever Android superphone is the reigning king around that time. Chances are the Galaxy will still be at least a strong contender.
