Technically, that should provide a vast improvement in terms of smoothness of video.

1. Higher resolution, up to 8-Megapixels
2. CMOS sensor instead of CCD, allowing faster signal processing and continuous shot modes for still images, as well as no stopping or pausing while recording a movie and taking a photograph at the same time.
3. Completely SDHC compliant, allowing up to 32GB cards.
4. A new face detection, ‘Face Chaser’, technology for movies, and tracking up to 6 people for movies. Also, a ‘Face Chaser’ for still images allows tracking of up to 12 faces simultaneously.
5. A new ‘underwater mode’ in the scene selection menu, allowing clearer and truer colors than the predecessor.

Basically, we took the CA65 and upgraded a lot of the internals for this camera. We also have a new strap that is optional for it that should help keep it afloat.
