Worth Reading?

NoYes

Fresh in from our “excellent news” bureau comes word that the Samsung SPH-P9000 fold-me/twist-me/bend-me-baby UMPC-alike will be released in Korea within the next two weeks, a sizable jump from the previous estimate of “first half of 2007″.  We don’t yet know if this acceleration in schedule is anything to do with the outpouring of interest for the device or simply a ramp-up in production.

There are plenty of people who already carry around a PDA; admittedly this is bigger again, but it has the advantage of a decent-sized keyboard and running WinXP rather than a cut-down mobile version. Alternatively, it’d be a good swap for a sub-compact notebook.

This is the perfect device! I have been wanting a computer with a real touch type keyboard that will fit in my pocket for years and this is finally the first device of its kind. This is not big at all! This type of device is for business users and those whom need a laptop yet do not want to carry a huge bag with 25-50 lbs consisting of a laptop, cables, etc.
