Samsung's new TV lineup includes UHD, "SUHD" models

Samsung has introduced a new lineup of UHD ("4k") televisions, and the maker's own premium UHD televisions, which it refers to as "SUHD" offerings. The latter of those two is promised to offer a "crystal clear" picture akin to what you see in real life. The SUHD models are also Cadmium-free, and include Samsung's Peak Illuminator. That's not the say the regular UHD models are any less notable — they include things like PurColor tech and more for high picture quality.

There are four SUHD models: the JS9500, which is curved and will be available this month at $6499.99 USD; the JS9100, another curved model that will be available in May for $9,999.99 USD; the JS9000 Curved SUHD TV (48-inch and 65-inch) that is available now for $3499.99 USD and $3999.99 USD; and, finally, the JS8500 SUHD, which is not curved but is available now for $2999.99 USD (55-inch) and $3999.99 USD (65-inch).

If the "SUHD" version of Samsung's 4k TVs doesn't appeal to you, the company also has three new regular UHD (UltraHD) models, one of which will be available this month (JU7100), and two that will be available some time this spring (JU6700 and JU7500), the latter two of which are both curved.

The JU7100 will be available as a 40-inch model ($1399.99), 50-inch ($1499.99), 55-inch ($1799.99), 60-inch ($2499.99), 65-inch ($2999.99), and 75-inch ($4999.99). The JU7500 will likewise be available as a 40-inch model ($1399.99), 48-inch ($1599.99), 55-inch ($1999.99), 65-inch ($2999.99), and 78-inch ($5999.99). Finally, there's the JU6700 model, available as a 40-inch model ($949.99), 48-inch ($1149.99), 55-inch ($1499.99), and 65-inch ($2699.99).
