Samsung updates NX10 firmware to support i-Function lenses

Samsung has announced that it has updated the firmware on its NX10 digital camera. With the firmware update, all of the NX range now supports the cool i-Funciton lenses that Samsung offers. The new NX10 firmware update is version 1.20.

Once the new firmware is applied, the i-Function lenses can be used on the digital camera and the user will have the ability to control settings right from the lens. The i-Function lenses communicate with the camera body to allow the user to change settings without having to go to other knobs or menus on the LCD of the camera to make their desired changes.

Lenses that are now available for the NX10 include the 20-50mm lens and a small, lightweight 20mm wide-angle Pancake lens. The GUI of the NX10 is updated to support the i-Function lines technology and enhanced capability for the lenses includes Lens Distortion Compensation (LDC). The updated firmware for the new functionality is on the Samsung site for download right now.
