Samsung Ultimate Test Drive targets iPhone users

Samsung and Apple have been locked in a smartphone war since the first iPhone rolled off the assembly line years ago. Samsung has had some sales success along the way and some devices that didn't sell as well as the smartphone maker hoped. Apple for the most part has been plugging away with the most popular smartphone in many parts of the world with its iPhone.

Samsung is now specifically targeting iPhone users with what it calls the Samsung Ultimate Test Drive. The test drive requires users to sign up from their iPhone to receive the test drive device. Samsung is only interested in iPhone users, if you use a different smartphone you can't participate in the program.

For $1 participants in the test drive can get their hands on the latest Samsung smartphones for 30 days with no obligation. The test drive kit received will come with a phone of the user's choice, an activated SIM card, and a step-by-step guide to starting the test drive.

After the 30-day test drive users who purchase the smartphone will get some additional benefits. The program does require the test driver to give Samsung a valid credit card number. Eligible Samsung devices appear to include the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Damaged devices returned during the test drive will cost the user from $100 up to the full purchase price.
