It seems that today is the day of the eco-friendly LCD display. We just heard about the LG W53 SMART line of LCD monitors, and now Samsung has announced their new SyncMaster 70 Series, which purports to be green, too.

This latest line of LCD monitors will be be available in Korea and include two new offerings: the 20-inch and 23-inch. What sets these displays apart is that they use supposedly up to a third less energy than regular Samsung displays.

The SyncMaster 70 Series has the Touch of Color design and includes a 2ms panel response time and 50,000:1 contrast ratio. We don’t really know much else than that, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as more information becomes available.
